I want Lanvin, not Diamonds!

Lanvin hearts H&MIf you put all the candy in the world into a huge pile and magically turned it into luxury fashion items, this is what you’d get. Lanvin’s recent collaboration with H&M is like a dream I never want to wake up from.

Bright floral cocktail dresses cinched with satin ribbon, piles of asymmetrical dresses in rich jewel colours, mesh overlays embroidered with elaborate gemstone ‘necklaces.’ T-shirts are covered in whimsical illustrations and satin bows, worn with layers of opulent jewellery; there’s tulle in the most unexpected places… Shoes have lush silk ribbons, and animal print reigns supreme over the accessories. There are playful ruffles everywhere, like decorative icing on the perfect birthday cake. (View images of the entire collection here)

The line is both edgy and romantic; a metaphorical ‘dancing around to Owl City wearing Doc’s and too much eyeliner’. Sound impossible? Think again. They’ve done it perfectly. The video ad campaign is brilliant, in a “I have no idea what just happened, but I need that dress” way.

Ben’s announced his Christmas Wishlist; Lanvin for H&M is at the top of mine.
